A woman is behind bars Sunday on a felony complaint of second-degree murder.
31-year-old Elizabeth Marie Beltran is accused of stabbing her husband, 32-year-old Alexander Beltran Jr., in the abdomen and chest.
Broken Arrow Police officers were dispatched to a home in the 1100 block of North Hickory Court just after 10:00 p.m. Saturday, where they found Mr. Beltran lying face-down in a bedroom.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and attempted to render aid.
Mr. Beltran was pronounced dead just before 10:20 p.m. Saturday.
Police found Mrs. Beltran seated in a lawn chair in the garage.
Two witnesses at the scene told police they heard the Beltrans arguing. Both witnesses reportedly tried to break up the fight.
Mrs. Beltran was taken into custody at 11:40 p.m. Saturday and booked into the Broken Arrow City Jail. She was booked into the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center just before 10:00 a.m. Sunday.
Her court date is set for July 25th. Her bond was set at $500,000.
