Tulsa Police Looking for Tips in Best Buy Shooting

Posted: Updated:

The Tulsa Police Department is still looking for the man who shot two people in a Best Buy parking lot. Police now need your help because two more families should have never been put through the loss of a loved on. Police say if people would have stepped up in 2008 this may not have happened.

"This is not going to stop. The only way it is going to stop is if we put those that are responsible in jail quickly after the first occurrence," says Sgt. Dave Walker.

Sgt. Walker says they are sure a shooting in 2008 killing two and a shooting in 2010 also killing two are connected with Saturday's shooting.

"It's frustrating to us to know that we had the murder in 2008 solved if people would have come forward," says Walker.

Since no one did, two more families have to live with what happened.

"Any life lost to gun violence is a terrible thing. Sorry for ourselves but sorry for anyone that has lost someone in this way especially in this way," says Wes Brown's sister, Gracelyn Brown.

Sgt. Walker says they know what happened in this case. So, if you know something there are several ways you stay anonymous.

"We aren't even asking anybody to come in and testify on this. We are asking for the freakin name, give us the man and we will go do the work," says Walker.

Sgt. Walker understands people don't want to step forward because they are afraid of threats and retaliation but he says you are rolling the dice at being next.

"This is crap that people won't come forward," says Walker, "that group that knows what's going on is choosing to be silent and I think they are choosing to be the next victim."

If you have any information you are asked to call CrimeStoppers at 918-596-COPS.
