The fall opening of the Cherokee Casino Ramona is expected to bring nearly 100 jobs to the area. Anyone interested in applying can attend one of the job fairs the company will hold this week.
There will be job fairs July 17 and July 24th at the Bartlesville Community Center from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. And another one at the Ramona Senior Center on August 8 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The job fair is targeted at food and beverage, security, facilities, and gaming operations positions for entry level and management positions.
"The Cherokee Nation is committed to providing jobs within our 14 counties," Principal Chief Bill John Baker said. "The expansion of our Ramona casino creates another opportunity for our citizens to live, work and play close to their families."
Job fair visitors will be able to browse open positions, speak with recruiters and obtain information on how to apply for jobs with Cherokee Nation Entertainment.
"We currently have about 100 employees and we're excited to strengthen our workforce with nearly 100 more jobs," said Rusty Stamps, general manager of Cherokee Casino Ramona. "These are good jobs with wages beginning above the state minimum wage and benefits including health insurance and education reimbursement."
