Tulsa Police have identified the suspect in an officer-involved shooting that took place Monday night at 400 S. Xanthus.
Police tell Channel 8 that the suspect, 32-year-old Manuel Sanchez was wanted in connection with several other crimes that happened on Monday. Sanchez was armed with a gun, and was shot in the abdomen by a Tulsa Police officer when he refused to obey orders from police and tried to flee.
Sanchez was critically wounded and was transported to a Tulsa hospital Monday night. He died a few hours later.
The officer involved in the shooting has been place on routine leave, until officials complete their investigation.
