Report: Tooth Fillings May Impact Kids' Behavior

Posted: Updated:

A new report released Tuesday involving dental work and how kids behave.

It comes from the Harvard Medical School researchers found that children who got enamel-colored fillings made with BPA derivatives had higher rates of anxiety and depression.

That's compared to kids with fillings made from metal, or other materials.

The authors say their results don't prove that BPA causes behavioral changes but that more research is needed.

That's because more than half of American kids will have had a cavity by the time they are in the second grade.
