Motorcycle Driver Killed On Highway 75

Posted: Updated:

A man on a motorcycle is killed in a crash along one busy Tulsa expressway.

Tulsa police tell KTUL.com it happened late Tuesday night on Highway 75 in the "S" curve north of Pine St.

Officers noticed a motorcycle driver speeding down the Broken Arrow expressway. They tried to catch him, but could not get turned around in time.

They traveled up Highway 75 and were flagged down by two cars sitting on the shoulder.

The man had crashed there. Police say he lost control in the curve and was thrown into the grass. His bike came to rest on a fence.

Tulsa police corporal Dan Miller said this stretch of road can be treacherous for those who are unfamiliar.

"A lot of people that don't know this area drive at a high rate of speed. It comes into an 'S' curve, and if you're not careful you can lose (control) of a car or motorcycle," he said.

EMSA rushed him to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition where he later died.

The man's name has not been released.
