Authorities busted a marijuana-growing operation on Wednesday while searching for missing children.

Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) deputies assisting Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) agents discovered a hydroponic marijuana-growing operation in the 6300 block of South Indian Meridian in Choctaw on Wednesday.

Deputies were at the house to interview a couple about an unrelated missing children case out of Texas.

While speaking with two people inside the house, deputies searched the house and found the marijuana.

Deputies found 16 plants, several ounces of processed marijuana, marijuana seeds, two rifles, and one automatic pistol.

43-year-old Ronald James Rogers was arrested on complaints of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a weapon while committing a felony, unlawfully cultivating a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of a firearm after a former conviction of a felony.

OCSO deputies also arrested 48-year-old Dayna Michelle Lake, when they discovered she had outstanding warrants from unrelated cases for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, driving under the influence, no seat belt, driving with a suspended license, and failure to carry insurance verification.
