Man Dies in Hospital After Motorcycle Crash

A man died at an Oklahoma City hospital following a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon.

65-year-old Charles Fredrick Allen of Oklahoma City was riding a 2002 Honda motorcycle eastbound on I-40 when the bike fell to the ground on its side, sliding 37 feet into the outside lane of traffic—according to an OHP Troop A report.

OHP investigators believe Mr. Allen may have fainted from the heat or from a medical episode.

Mr. Allen was taken by EMSA to Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City, where he died early Sunday morning due to his injuries.

The accident happened just after 3:00 p.m. Saturday, on I-40 eastbound near Garth Brooks Boulevard.

According to the OHP report, Mr. Allen had not been wearing a helmet.
