A Tulsa woman takes to Facebook in a rant against the Rogers County Sheriff's Department. What she didn't count on was a deputy who recorded the incident in question. The problem started when she was inadvertently locked inside a park around Oologah Lake just outside Claremore.
'In post after post, people are taking sides.
"Never in a million years did I think any one incident would get this much attention."
It's clear Tera Mattingly is angry over being stuck after authorities say she tried to drive around a locked gate. This may be part of her bumper left behind.
"We have proof on our call log that's printed out ready to go that she called and told our dispatcher that she called and already rammed the gate cause she couldn't get out."
Captain Adam Hull happened to be trying out a brand new camera the night in question. Hull says Mattingly posted many false statements about the incident.
"I've had my life threatened on Facebook due to this, one guy I have no idea who he is threatened to catch me out of uniform in a dark alley."
Normally complaints against law enforcement officers are handled differently. But Facebook has changed that.
"I wouldn't respond to a liar's criticism and take this much time on a normal case. "
Sheriff Scott Walton glad that a camera caught it all.
"I want people to see this, I want em to watch it. I want em to study it."
He says it's unfortunate that people with an axe to grind with law enforcement take this route.
"Let's look at her, her life, her past, let's look at her criminal record, let's look at her ability to tell the truth and obey the law and be a good example for her children."
Mattintly did not return our calls, but it's clear last weekend wasn't her first brush with the law.
In this incident she was ticketed for going around a barricade and destruction of public property
