Sand Springs -
An area pharmacy was robbed Wednesday afternoon.
Sand Springs Police officers responded to an armed robbery call at the Drug Warehouse at 651 East Charles Page Boulevard at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Assistant Police Chief Mike Carter said a man entered the store and handed a note to the pharmacy clerk demanding a specific narcotic medication.
Although the suspect stated that he had a weapon, no weapon was actually seen by witnesses.
After the suspect was given the medication, witnesses saw him leaving in a black Mercury SUV in an unknown direction on Morrow Road.
Police said no one was injured and that most customers in the store at the time were unaware of the robbery.
The suspect is described as a white male, 6'0", 180 to 200 pounds, 25 to 30 years old, wearing gray coveralls, a long-sleeved shirt, camo gloves, a gardening-style round hat, and a gray ladies scarf over his face.
