A new report shows the severity of an ongoing drought is expanding across Oklahoma.
The U.S. Drought Monitor report shows parts of northwestern Oklahoma in exceptional drought.
The western one-third of the state, including the panhandle and parts of east-central to southeastern Oklahoma are considered to be in extreme drought.
The remainder of the state is considered to be in a severe drought.
The report shows drought conditions have gotten worse since the Drought Monitor's last report, last week.
