Tulsa -
Police said three early morning armed home robberies on Thursday are likely connected.
Around 6:30 a.m. police responded to a home burglary on East 62nd Street. Police said a couple saw a man forcibly enter their garage and point a gun. They were able to shut and lock the door before he was able to enter the house.
Around 7:20 a.m., police responded to a robbery at an apartment complex on 101st East Avenue. Police said two armed men forced two women into the bathroom while they ransacked the house, taking a TV, a computer, and other items.
Shortly before 9 a.m. police responded to East 64th place, where two armed robbers entered through a partially open garage and forced a father and his two teenage children into a bathroom. The homeowner told Channel 8 they stole several TVs, his bank card, his Jeep, and other items. He said the thieves were in the house about 30 minutes and cut his phone lines.
The homeowner Channel 8 spoke with said the experience was a "nightmare." He did not want to go on camera while the suspects are still on the loose.
Police said these robberies are unusual due to the fact they entered the residences early when homeowners were likely to be home. Also, police said they spent an unusually long amount of time in the house.
Police said the suspects are two young black males between 20 and 25. One of them is around 5'10 and of average build. The second is reportedly between 5'08 and 5'10 and a bit heavier. As of late Thursday afternoon, police had not yet caught the suspects.
