A Wynona man is behind bars after turning himself in Monday for stealing horses.

26-year-old Michael John Delaney II confessed to stealing two horses he was hired to break in and train.

Delaney surrendered himself after authorities, led by the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA), discovered he had traded one of the two horses.

As of Thursday afternoon, that horse was in the process of being returned to its rightful owner.

Authorities are still investigating the whereabouts of the other horse in an attempt to locate it and return it to the owner.

Delaney is currently out on $15,000 bond.
