Man Arrested for Failing to Appear at Assault Arraignment

A man was arrested Friday night for failure to appear in an assault case.

27-year-old Christopher Lee Johnson is accused of hitting a man with a baseball bat, causing head injuries, on April 15th.

Johnson was charged on May 4th with one felony count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Mr. Johnson bonded out on May 10th.

After failing to appear at his July 19th arraignment, a warrant was issued for Johnson's arrest.

Johnson was arrested at 10:00 p.m. Friday.

His bond was set at $30,000.
