A grass fire southwest of Haskell threatened a house Sunday afternoon.
The Haskell Fire Department confirmed for KTUL.com that they were working a grass fire about 1½ miles west of Highway 64/72 and south of Skelly Road in Muskogee County that was approaching a house.
KTUL.com first learned of the fire just before 12:30 p.m.
Authorities on the scene reporting back to Muskogee County on scanners indicated the fire was crossing the driveway, approaching the house.
Muskogee, Haskell, Stone Bluff, and Mountain View Fire Departments were reportedly working together through their mutual aid agreements to battle the fire.
When KTUL.com spoke with the Haskell Fire Department at 3:00 p.m., the fire had been completely extinguished. The house was not affected.
