John Henry Buechler, Jr.
East Tulsa -
A man was arrested Sunday morning in connection with threatening to shoot his minor son in May.
51-year-old John Henry Buechler, Jr., is accused of pointing a gun at his son and threatening to shoot him in the head.
A court document alleges that Mr. Buechler threatened to shoot his son in the head with a .45-caliber handgun because the son intervened after Mr. Buechler said he wanted to have sex with his son's girlfriend on May 20th.
The son, the son's girlfriend, and other minors present at the residence, in the 11900 block of East 17th Street, reportedly ran from the location and called the police.
Mr. Buechler had allegedly shot guns off in the house previously while intoxicated.
Buechler was charged on July 12th with one felony count of pointing a firearm and one misdemeanor count of threatening an act of violence.
He was arrested and bonded out the same day.
A warrant was issued again on July 26th due to an affidavit of probable cause.
Mr. Buechler was arrested Sunday just after 10:00 a.m.
His bond was set at $125,000.
Buechler had a prior conviction for reckless conduct with a firearm and carrying a firearm while under the influence of drugs or alcohol in 2010.
