The Red Cross says blood donations are at a 15 year low.

Since supplies are extremely critical, the Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive featuring OU Heisman winners.

The campaign kicks off August 1st and runs through September 30th.

Steve Owens, Billy Sims and Jason White are working with the Red Cross to bring attention to the demand.

You can meet the three at the Red Cross at 10151 E. 11th St. August 1st from noon until 2 p.m.

There will be a kickoff ceremony August 1st from 10:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. and August 2nd from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

On August 2nd, anyone donating at the 11th street location will also be eligible to win one of three autographed OU footballs along with getting a commemorative Heisman T-shirt.

Summer time means low supplies with the heat keeping donors at home, a higher demand, and fewer school-sponsored drives.
