Tulsa Hosts Palomino Horse Show

Posted: Updated:

The Palomino Horse Breeders of America (PHBA) is holding their World Show in Tulsa this week.

The show runs from Sunday through Saturday at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex at Expo Square.

"We've got our open and amateur horse show going on with about four-hundred horses," said Gerald Bilkey, General Manager of the Palomino World Show in Tulsa.

Tulsa has hosted this show for 30 years now. Their national office is here in Tulsa.

The show begins at 8:00 a.m. and concludes at 9:00 p.m. each day of the event.

Vendors have tables set up to offer unique gift ideas.

"We've got good coverage from coast to coast," Bilkey said, referring to Palomino entries from all over the United States.

This may be the last PHBA World Show in Tulsa.

According to the group's website, the show is moving to the Tunica Arena and Expo Center in Tunica, Mississippi, beginning 2013.

The PHBA was officially formed in 1941.
