What's To Blame For Higher Gas Prices

The national average price for a gallon of gasoline rose 17 cents in July, according to Triple-A. That's the biggest jump in July since at least 2000, when Triple-A began keeping track. 

Regular unleaded gas cost an average of three-42 a gallon nationwide last month. That's the third highest average for July on record. Triple-A blames higher oil prices, Middle East instability and mixed global economic news for the price hike.
