Tulsa -
The Barber Cutt-Off Association is in desperate need of additional school supplies for their annual giveaway.
Due to the economy, registration of families in need will double this year.
In order to help raise money for school supplies, portrait photographer Cheryl Turnage of
Chattanooga, TN, has offered her services for a Family Portrait event benefiting
the Barber Cutt-Off.
Turnage offered her services after reading an article about the Barber Cutt-Off.
Family portrait coupons are $10 and are good for a sitting appointment and for one 10x13
portrait.
To register your appointment for your family's portrait sitting, please stop by Barber King on Friday, August 3rd.
Barber King is located at 41st and Garnett, next to Reasor's.
Coupons must be purchased on Friday in advance of the family's sitting during the
weekend.
Coupons are limited to 1 per family.
The Family Portrait fundraising event was scheduled to take place at a studio off 21st Street in
Tulsa. But the air conditioner in the studio space failed, so they have moved event locations.
Fortunately, Barber King, the Wyndham Hotel, and Quantus created stepped in to help sponsor the event.
The Wyndham Hotel on 41st Street between Highway 169 and Garnett generously offered to
donate a new space for the Portrait event, Quantus Creative donated their marketing and
printing services for new flyers due to the address change, and Barber King offered to use their
shop for pre-registration and a $5.00 coupon for adult haircuts.
The Barber Cutt-Off Association is celebrating its 20th anniversary of providing tens of thousands of free styling and haircuts for students in K-8th grade to help improve self esteem before going back to school.
The Barber Cutt-Off also provides students in need with free school supplies.
