Jenks -

A fire destroyed two homes in Jenks Thursday evening.

Just before 5:30 p.m., the Jenks Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 100 block of East Beaver Street.

Authorities told Tulsa's Channel 8's crew on the scene that the house was vacant.

Around 6:00 p.m., the fire from that house ignited the house on the east side of it.

Fire crews said that people lived in that house but that no one was home at the time.

One firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion, but no one else was injured.
