The Brady Craft Alliance is excited to announce an exhibition coming this August entitled Crafting Ritual and Identity.

The opening night is Friday at Living Arts from 6pm-9pm.

This is a companion show to the Sherwin Miller Jewish Museum of Art's international traveling exhibit about Jewish ritual entitled A Stitch in Jewish Time.

Crafting Ritual & Identity expands on the ideas expressed in the current show at the Sherwin Miller Jewish Museum.

Curated by Karen York, A Stitch in Jewish Time: Provocative Textiles features internationally acclaimed contemporary fiber artists who delve into the understanding of Jewish history, experience and values.

In strong partnership with the Museum, the Brady Craft Alliance invited 15 Oklahoma artists to consider their own traditions and cultures.

The result is a rich show of complexity of materials and ideas that mirrors the diversity in which we live today.

The BCA show will focus on Oklahoma artists' perspective on ritual and identity. The show will feature work from the following artists:

Paul Medina
Byron Shen
Sunni Mercer
Laurie Spencer
Aaron Hauck
Holly Wilson
Donna Matles
Robin Tilly
Brandon Reese
Christ Ramsay
Milissa Burkhart
Shan Goshorn
Chuck Tomlins

Living Arts is located at 306 East Brady in downtown Tulsa.
