Okmulgee County Loses Power

Okmulgee County -

Residents of Okmulgee County lost power around 9:00 p.m. Saturday.

East Central Electric anticipates having power restored to all customers by Sunday morning.

In the mean time, the Mounds Public High School is opening its doors as both a cooling station and shelter for residents of Okmulgee and Creek Counties.

The school does not currently have cots, but the Red Cross is trying to provide some as soon as possible.

The Mounds Public High School is located at 1601 Russell Avenue in Mounds.
