There could be a silent killer lurking in your home...your cat.

Researchers say that 44% of pet cats hunt wildlife and on average make 2 kills a week.

That might not sound like a lot, but it really adds up when you consider that Americans own an estimated 86 million cats.

Now, the American Bird Conservancy says they are wiping out the bird population.

In fact, 1 in 3 American bird species is declining in numbers.
