Creek County -
Roy Varnell was shot to death in his rural Creek County home while his two grandchildren were home.
"The boy that was in the residence said someone came in shot him and
left the residence. He didn't see him," says Creek County Sheriff's
Office Detective, Matthew Greco-Luccina.
Neither of his grandchildren, who were 12 and 8 years old, saw anything. So detectives have no description to go on and with no description it makes this case that much harder.
"It's real difficult, when you don't have a description. When you
don't have a race, a gender, or clothing. All you have is two kids
that were scared and terrified at the time," says Greco-Luccina.
Detectives say that there is no signs of forced entry. So residents
should play it safe because they say there could be someone out there
with a gun ready to use it and they also have other advice for people
in this area.
"Keep their doors locked if anybody comes to the door that they think
is suspicious call us don't open the door even if you think someone is
out here call us up we will come out just don't take any chances,"
says Greco-Luccina.
