Aerial view of grass fire started near Sooner Road and Indian Hills Road

Fire crews battled and extinguished a grass fire Thursday.

The fire started near Sooner Road and Indian Hills Road just before 2:00 p.m.

Several area fire departments, including Norman and Oklahoma City, battled the blaze.

CNN affiliate KFOR told KTUL.com that the fire started when a truck's muffler accidentally sparked a road.

Though the fire threatened some structures, none were damaged.

No evacuations were needed.
