Mannford -
Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers have been on the scene since Sunday offering meals and other services.
"We're going to have people coming in who have been victimized by the wild fires, and they're needing a hot meal," said Lou Martin, Feeding Unit Director at the Tulsa Metro West Feeding Unit.
The Southern Baptists have been based at the First Baptist Church at 105 Greenwood Avenue in Mannford since Sunday.
"They'll be able to share this food and nourishment and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ," said Martin.
The Southern Baptists have also assisted with damage assessment, providing showers and laundry, and "ash out" debris removal.
Martin told Tulsa's Channel 8's photojournalist Bryan Clemmer that they served around 200 people lunch and that they were expecting a similar number of people for dinner.
"People are coming in here, they say they don't have any insurance, and they say they have nowhere to turn," Martin said.
Martin's group has about 30 volunteers. They will be relieved on Saturday by a team from Owasso.
