Karen and James Gordon put this sign in their front yard after a thief stole their son's remains.
A Tulsa couple is begging for help after someone stole a precious memoir from their home.
Thieves took the obvious electronics and jewelry. But some of it made no sense to Karen and James Gordon.
"Of all things, my moms ring, bag pipes even the insurance adjuster was like what's that?" said Karen Gordon.
They stole a postcard from a friend, an antique clock and something else--the urn holding their son Dustin's ashes.
"The only thing I could think is that they came in and they just scooped this whole shelf. They had no idea what they were taking, they were just grabbing," said James.
"The urn was beautiful, maybe that was it. It was blue, iridescent glass with silver filigree around it," Karen described.
Of all the things taken that is the one thing they want back.
"It's like we lost him twice. We already lost him that was bad enough but it's like taking his body. I know his soul is not there but it's like losing him again," cried Karen.
They put a sign in the yard--a public plea.
"Drive by at 2 a.m. in the morning and go away, seriously, we just want our son back," said James.
He'll always be in their hearts. But now they just want his remains back in their place.
"Just give me my son back, all I want."
