OHP: Sleepy Trucker Plows Rig Into Beggs Building

Posted: Updated:

No one is seriously hurt when a Sam's Club semi truck hits a building near Beggs.

OHP Lieutenant George Brown said it happened Friday morning around 8:00 o'clock 5 miles west of town on Highway 16.

The trucker apparently got sleepy, lost control and crashed through part of the former Callidus Technologies complex, Brown said. It's now owned by Honeywell.

No one was hurt in the building. The driver was treated and released for minor injuries.

Photos from the scene show that the semi's tractor belongs to Greatwide logisitics. The trailer has Sam's Club logos.

A call to Walmart for comment has not been returned yet.

OHP is still investigating the crash.
