A car hit both a bicycle and a van Sunday morning, injuring one person and closing three blocks of South Sheridan Road.
Tulsa Police Sergeant Doug Brown told KTUL.com that a four-door car traveling southbound on South Sheridan Road near East 95th Street South drove into a northbound lane to try to pass three vehicles—hitting both a northbound bicycle and northbound van, just after 8:15 a.m. Sunday.
The bicyclist was taken by EMSA to Saint Francis Hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the car was also taken by EMSA to Saint Francis Hospital.
According to Sgt. Brown, neither van passenger was taken to hospital.
Sgt. Brown said that Sheridan remained closed to traffic in both northbound and southbound lanes from 95th Street to 98th Street as of 10:30 a.m.
