Broken Arrow Lifts Voluntary Water Conservation Order

Posted: Updated:

Effective today, the City of Broken Arrow is lifting its voluntary water conservation order.

The order was put into effect on August 1st.

According to Stephanie Higgins, Director of Communications for Broken Arrow, the average daily water usage has gradually declined since August 5th.

"Our water customers really responded once we asked for voluntary water conservation," said Acting City Manager Russell Gale. "We will however continue to monitor water levels and if conditions warrant, will look at issuing conservation orders in the future."

Water customers are still encouraged to be wise with their water use for the next month while drought conditions continue. Updates will be made available at www.brokenarrowok.gov.
