Union Public Schools wants start the new school year off on the right foot.
More than 1500 administrators, teachers, and support staff will kickoff the new school year Thursday at the Union High School Performing Arts Center.
They will tour the High Schools new Union Collegiate Academy. To keep it fun, employees will also get see their colleagues perform special talents on stage. Important announcements about the upcoming school year will also be made.
All employees are required to attend the event, so the Union Education Service Center will only be open from 8 am to 11:30 pm Thursday.
For the past three years, the 3 Gun Nation Pro Series shooting competition has only been for men. This year, they are opening it up to an elite group of women, and a Tulsa Police officer is one of those women. Ten ladies have earned their spot on this pro series. Each pro has to use a riffle, shotgun, and pistol, and it's not easy to be a master of all three.
