Clerk Injured In Pair Of Overnight Robberies

Posted: Updated:

A clerk is hurt during the armed robbery of a Tulsa Kum and Go.

Police say it happened at the convenience store on the corner of 71st and Garnett early Friday morning.

At least 3 suspects barged in with a gun, and one of the men pistol-whipped the female clerk.

They forced her to the store's back room and tried to crack the safe.

She was taken to the hospital to be checked out and should recover.

A similar robbery happened around the same time at the Kum and Go near 145th East Avenue and 51st Street in Broken Arrow.

In that incident, the clerk jumped over the counter and ran away.

The suspects may have gotten away in a sliver Mercury Grand Marquis. If you have any information call Crimestoppers at 918-596-COPS.
