The Muskogee County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) seized more than 20 pounds worth of crystal methamphetamine during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon.

24-year-old Michael Salas was purportedly driving from Fort Worth, Texas, to Fort Smith, Arkansas, when a MCSO deputy pulled him over during a routine traffic stop.

The stop happened Thursday afternoon on I-40 near Webbers Falls.

Deputy Jeff Gragg said the county's drug dog discovered the methamphetamine in the trunk of the car Salas was driving.

The drugs have a street value of $1 million.

The Muskogee County Jail told KTUL.com that Salas was booked on trafficking illegal drugs and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

He is being held without bond.
