Corps of Engineers Asking for RVs for Mannford Homeless

Creek County -

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, along with Crosstimbers Marina, are asking for loaned RVs to house those displaced by the Mannford fires.

The Corps is offering free camping spaces to those who need it at Salt Creek Campgrounds. The Corps said there are about 34 spaces available.

The Corps said there are already about 15 families who lost their homes staying at the campgrounds. Seven of those families are in RVs charitable people loaned.

"It's hard to thank people enough for what they've done, but I mean, you just can't put it into words," said Rick Macaruso. His family is currently staying in a donated RV. They lost their home in the fire and did not have insurance. They hope to be able to move back to their property in the next few months.

If you are able to help, please contact Crosstimbers Marina at (918) 288-2332. You may also email them at kneumann@crosstimbermarina.com.
