A man was arrested Friday night for child endangerment and reckless driving.

22-year-old Samuel Joseph Rider is accused of recklessly driving his truck while intoxicated, with his 12-year-old nephew in the back seat.

The incident allegedly occurred in a parking lot in the 5300 block of East 41st Street, just before 9:30 p.m.

According to the arrest report, the boy in the back seat was crying and scared.

He has been charged with one felony count of child endangerment, as well as misdemeanor counts of DUI, reckless driving, and driving without a driver's license.

Rider's bond was set at $25,000.
