At least a dozen vehicles were involved in an accident on I-65 in Indiana on Saturday.
At least one person was killed, and two others were seriously hurt.
All northbound lanes of Interstate-65 in Jasper County were shut down near Mile Marker 227 following the accident.
Indiana State Police told CNN that smoke and fog Saturday morning made it difficult for drivers to see.
Witnesses told the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) that the accident happened at 7:00 a.m. Saturday.
Indiana State Police told ABC sister station WLS that smoke from a burning dairy barn about 50 miles southeast of Chicago may have caused the smoke.
