Cody Green: Cocky or Confident?

Posted: Updated:

There is a fine line between being cocky and being confident.  There is no question Tulsa's starting quarterback Cody Green is confident.

The Nebraska transfer takes over the Golden Hurricane after sitting out last year.  He was in some big time games with the Huskers and TU coaches say he continues to improve.

Coach Bill Blankenship thinks Cody is on the right side of the cocky or confident debate.

"There's a constant battle with all great ones to cross over from confident to arrogant. That's not where we want to be." Blankenship said. "We want to be cautiously confident. There is a little swagger about the best ones I've been around. I think that's healthy. And feel really good that that's where Cody is."

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane open up the season on the road against Iowa State in Ames, IA.  The kickoff time has moved from 11:00am to 2:30pm.
