Baseball Greats Sign Autographs In Tulsa

Posted: Updated:

Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Goose Gossage was in town Wednesday night, along with former OSU baseball star Mickey Tettleton and Texas Ranger Kevin Mench.

The guys were at the RiverSpirit Casino for a little meet and greet autograph session with the fans.

It's not everyday you get a Major League Hall of Famer in town and lots of people took advantage of the opportunity.  "It's really great to meet people that appreciate what you used to do." Gossage said, "When I started out all I wanted to do was put a big league uniform on one time and that turned into 22-years.  I still can't believe I had the kind of career that I had."

Tettleton said is was just as much fun for him.  "Being from Oklahoma this is great."  Tettleton said, "I've seen a lot of Oklahoma State people in the last couple of nights which has been nice.  The people here at RiverSpirit have been great.  It's just nice to do something back in Oklahoma."
