Broken Arrow police arrest a group of men accused in the robbery of a Radio Shack.
Police detective Sgt. Scott Lillard said officers were called to the store on south Elm Place Wednesday night around 9:00pm.
An off-duty employee went to the store to visit friends and saw four suspects inside wearing masks and loading merchandise into bags.
Officers arrived and found a masked suspect running out the store's back exit, and another ran across Elm. Police officers ran after him, but he eventually dropped a weapon during the chase and surrendered.
When that suspect was searched, Lillard said, he was wearing body armor and also had a TASER on his person.
Officers found two store employees in a back room bound by duct taped. The employees told officers four men entered the store with guns and started loading up electronics and herded them to the back and placed them inside the room.
A K9 officer responded and began a track and soon located another suspect in the backyard of a neighboring residence. A handgun and ski mask were found nearby.
Broken Arrow officers were later notified that the other two suspects could be at a residence in Tulsa. Tulsa Police responded to that residence and located the remaining two suspects'.
Police have arrested 18-year-old Corey James Sullivan of Tulsa, 21-year-old Joseph Benjamin Wilson of Chelsea, 23-year-old Wes Ryan Wilson 23 of Chelsea, and 22-year-old James Paul Wright of Tulsa.
Detective Lillard said each suspect is charged with Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Wearing a Mask during the Commission of a Felony, Wearing Body Armor during the Commission of a Felony, Larceny of an Automobile, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
