The days of going back to school after Labor Day are long gone... but some parents still keep their kids at home... missing the first two weeks of school.
Tulsa Public Schools is pleading for parents to enroll their children now.
The district says it is a matter of having enough teachers.
Right now, the district is about 3,000 students short from it's projected enrollment number of 40,000 students.
TPS will count heads on Friday to decide how many teachers it will need.
Late students could mean overcrowded classrooms.
