The Difficulties Of A Late Kickoff

When OU kicks off its 2012-2013 season, some people will already be in bed. The Sooners travel to El Paso, TX to face the UTEP Miners. Kickoff is not until 9:30 PM CST.

Having such a late kickoff brings with it plenty of challenges for the coaching staff. One of the biggest is how to keep all of their players from jumping off the walls - especially when the late kickoff comes on the season opener.

For the Sooners, QB Landry Jones plans on reading his Bible and playbook in the hotel. Others plan on watching movies or TV shows - Gabe Ikard is leaning towards the movie "Step Brothers", while Tress Way will choose the TV show "Seinfeld". David King will kill time watching the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."
