The Broken Arrow-Owasso football game has been a good one for many years. It's only fitting that it finally has it's own "fancy name."
It's now known as the "Crosstown Showdown."
Tuesday morning both Rams Coach Bill Patterson and Tigers Coach Steve Spavital found out the winner of their game will receive the Bailey Cup.
Both guys are looking forward to hooking up on Friday.
"I think it adds a little bit to the game. Owasso Head Coach Bill Patterson said, "Obviously it's the first game of the year for us every year and it has been and it's always a big game we enjoy because it's such a high quality opponent."
"We try to schedule the best opponents in Oklahoma." Broken Arrow Head Coach Steve Spavital said, "These are the type of games you want to be involved in. We know going into this game we're going to have to play the best football that we can. Because they are a tremendous football team.
The Tigers and the Rams kickoff Friday night in Owasso at 7:30pm.
