At least two school campuses go on lock down early Friday morning as Tulsa police searched for an armed suspect.
The incident began around 5:00am Friday as a police chase near 5600 S. Harvard. Police pursued car with four suspects inside, which wrecked a few blocks away near Marion Avenue.
Two of the suspects were arrested near the car and a third was found hiding close by. The fourth suspect got away.
Police thought the man was armed, so they alerted schools and daycares in the area.
Tulsa police public information officer Leland Ashley says it's up to the school to decide on a lock down for student safety.
Carnegie Elementary and a nearby child care facility were on lock down for a short time. Those lock downs were lifted by mid morning.
The fourth suspect is still on the loose. Police don't have a description of him other than a white male, possibly carrying a backpack.
Ashley tells citizens that if you see someone suspicious, or that looks out of place, in your neighborhood to call police.
