EMSA Ambulance Involved In Crash

An EMSA ambulance crashes into the median of a busy Tulsa expressway.

The accident happened Friday afternoon around 12:30pm on southbound Highway 75 under the I-244 bridge.

Somehow the ambulance ended up on its side in the median, leaning against a guardrail. Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

EMSA spokesperson Kelli Bruer said the medics onboard were not seriously hurt.

"Our number one concern is always the safety of patients, citizens and employees. We are grateful no one was hurt," Bruer Said.

She added that, so far, it's not suspected that there was any misconduct made by the driver. EMSA plans to thoroughly investigate the incident, she said.
