The Broken Arrow Parks and Recreation Department hopes to dazzle park-goers with an event featuring lots of sand.
It's one of two fun, outdoor activities it will feature during the month of September.
This one is called the Sandazzle Sand Castle event.
It's geared toward the young and the young-at-heart to encourage them to create sand castles.
David Blue is the events coordinator and says the event is, "Kind of our end of year and day blowout for the pools. Today, we've brought out 60 tones of sand and kids some out get a basket and shovel do a little sand castle."
If you missed Saturday's event, the Parks department will be featuring a Skydance kite festival next Saturday.
Brilliantly colored kites will fly in the Broken Arrow Festival Park east of the Creek turnpike near 101st Street.
Admission is free.
