Busted Water Line Closes School In Shady Grove

A busted water line means one extra day off for school students in Shady Grove.

Classes are canceled Tuesday, September 4th, while crews clean up a flooded campus.

School superintendent Fred Ferguson said a toilet water supply line broke and sent water all over one wing of the elementary school.

Almost two inches of water filled the floors before someone noticed a stream running out the front door, he said.

Tuesday's softball game is still scheduled. The bus leaves at 3:00pm.

Classes will resume Wednesday. The small school is just north of Lake Keystone off of Highway 412 in Pawnee County.
