Lunt & Cowboys Go On The Road

Posted: Updated:

Wes Lunt's debut as the Oklahoma State starting quarterback couldn't have been much more perfect.  Maybe a touchdown throw or two would have made it better.

But the 19-year-old was 11-of-11 for 129-yards and the Pokes scored on all four drives when he was in the game.

Oklahoma State clobbered Savanna State 84-0.

The competition gets much stronger this week as the Cowboys travel to Arizona.  It will be a different environment, but the Pokes want Wes to approach it like a home game.

"The reality of him getting the signal, giving it to the line and signaling out is the exact same thing." OSU Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken said, "It's nothing different.  What their doing on defense is what were going to seer all year.  What makes it different is what you decide to put on yourself.  So, don't do it."

Wes Lunt and the Cowboys play their first road game of the year this Saturday night against the Arizona Wildcats.  Kickoff is set for 9:30pm Tulsa time.
