Arvest Bank Starts Hunger Drive

Posted: Updated:

Arvest Bank is challenging hunger with their 1 Million Meals initiative.

Bank associates, customers and communities will participate in fund raising efforts and make nonperishable food donations.

Those donations will to fight hunger in the 90 communities the bank serves.

The timing is critical, because nearly 49 million Americans are unable to get enough nutritious food on a regular basis.

Arvest Bank is kicking off a 2-month effort that will run from September 5th through November 3rd.

In November the donations will be presented to 44 different organizations, that feed the hungry in their communities.

Tulsa area residents can help by dropping off nonperishable food items or purchasing a 1 Million Meals paper plate for $1.

That can be done at any of the 36 Arvest branches throughout Tulsa and the surrounding communities.

Every dollar donated or food item stays local.

In Tulsa the bank has partnered with the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
