New Art Exhibit To Benefit Tulsa Charity

A Tulsa artist is launching a new exhibit that will benefit a local charity.

"Brushstrokes and Imagination" begins Friday night at 6:00pm at Club 209 in downtown Tulsa.

Meg Hawkins is behind the exhibition. Organizers said 10-percent of proceeds will go to Tulsa CARES, a non-profit organization providing assistance to those suffering from HIV and AIDS.

The event is free and open to the public.

This year, they are opening it up to an elite group of women, and a Tulsa Police officer is one of those women. Ten ladies have earned their spot on this pro series.
